Find the exact calendar-day difference between two dates, including weeks, weekdays, weekends, and an anchored years–months–days breakdown.
Counted days = date-only ordinal difference, plus 1 when the earlier date is included; weeks = counted days ÷ 7 + remainder; calendar units use anchored month-end clamping.Dates are sorted chronologically and calculated as UTC-safe calendar ordinals. Weekdays are Monday through Friday and weekends are Saturday and Sunday; holidays are not excluded. Weeks use the selected counted-day total, including the checkbox day; the checkbox does not change elapsed calendar duration or its anchored breakdown. The default interval is (earlier, later], or [earlier, later] when selected.
Calculate the exact difference between two dates in years, months, weeks, and days. Useful for anniversaries, age calculations, contract durations, and project timelines.
The calculator counts the actual calendar days between two dates, then converts to years/months/weeks/days. It correctly handles leap years and months of different lengths. "Days remaining" counts from today to a future date.
This calculator measures the calendar distance between two dates, rather than treating a month as an average number of days. It reports total days, weeks, weekdays, weekends, and a separate anchored calendar breakdown.
The earlier date is excluded and the later date is included by default, so 15 January to 16 January is 1 day. Turn on Include earlier date to count both endpoints; this changes counted range totals only, not the elapsed calendar duration. The same date therefore gives 0 counted days by default or 1 when included.
If the dates are entered in reverse order, they are sorted before the absolute distance is calculated. Reversing the two inputs does not create a negative duration.
The years–months–days display takes complete anchored calendar months first and then counts the remaining days between the two endpoint dates. Month ends are clamped: 31 January to 28 February is 1 month, not an average-month conversion. The inclusive option does not change this elapsed calendar breakdown.
Weekdays are Monday through Friday and weekends are Saturday and Sunday. No public holidays are removed, so the weekday result is not a business-day or holiday-aware count.
The default range count is 46 calendar days; including the earlier date makes the count 47. The anchored calendar period is 1 month and 15 days in either mode because it measures elapsed endpoints. The weekday and weekend totals change with inclusion and are not based on an assumed five-day workweek.
Not by default: the earlier date is excluded and the later date is included. Enable Include earlier date to count both endpoints; the extra day affects range counts, not elapsed calendar duration.
The calendar breakdown uses anchored full months with month-end clamping. It does not convert months with an average fixed day count.
No. Monday through Friday are counted as weekdays and Saturday and Sunday as weekends; public holidays are not included in the rules.
